I’m Petra Bland, a female personal trainer, offering private and group coaching to clients in and around Worcester.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches, all clients get personalised training programmes. Together we’ll help you to overcome barriers and achieve your goals, whether that’s losing fat, building strength, gaining muscle or overall health or lifestyle improvements.

Focused on long-term maintenance, I’ll help you to feel better, stronger and fitter without hating the process.

Coaching with compassion

I’ve been there. As a mum in my 40s, with two adorable but lively dogs, I know what it’s like to run on empty and chase every latest diet looking for a quick-fix, but knowing they never really work. My turning point was realising I wanted to have the energy to join my daughter when playing, rather than watching from the sidelines. This was the moment I stopped making excuses and in time found a healthier relationship with food and exercise. I am proud of the person I became and I can do the same for you too.


Guidance and accountability

Know what you need to do, but struggling to actually do it? This is completely normal, life gets in the way and motivation can dip. I’ve got you. I’ll be with you every step of the way, offering guidance and accountability that turns intentions into results that last.


Support when you’re struggling

I’ll be there to cheerlead on the good days, and offer the support and reassurance you need on those trickier and harder days. When you feel like you want to quit, all it takes is encouragement and a gentle nudge to keep you on target to reach your goals.


Private home gym close to Worcester

My private home gym is based in Hartlebury, which is a short 20 minute (11 miles) drive from Worcester city centre. It’s fully equipped, and is completely private and distraction-free. Making it the ideal environment for a focused workout.

We’ll build realistic (and sustainable) habits around exercise and nutrition – together we’ll build a healthy lifestyle.

You’ll receive guided support and advice both during and outside your workout sessions. You’ll also be invited to a members only WhatsApp group for additional support (which is optional). Connect with other members passionate about fitness.

Women and non-binary people typically feel more comfortable talking about their body, hormonal changes and personal goals with a trainer who is female. I also understand and relate to unique challenges women face when it comes to health and fitness, and always aim to create a judgement-free and supportive environment.

Absolutely! I love helping and supporting those who are new to personal training, and will be with you every step of the way.

Yes, I have specific training plans and support for people who are going through either perimenopause or menopause. I also offer an interactive workshop where we explore how nutrition, movement, sleep and stress management can help.

This depends on whether you’re working out at home or at my home gym. My gym is fully equipped, so all you need is water, comfortable clothing, and a towel to wipe away sweat from all that hard work. If you’re doing workouts at home, during our first initial consultation, we’ll discuss what you’ll need for each session.

Training with me includes 1:1 sessions and additional workouts you can do at home or at a local gym. The frequency of our 1:1 sessions depends on your current fitness level and goals. We can work on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.

Sessions usually last between 30 and 60 minutes, and include sets of exercises that are focused on particular areas of the body. There is always a mixture of cardio and weight bearing, and all workouts include a warm up, cool down and stretching (we need to look after our bodies).

You can absolutely cancel at any time, all I need is one month’s notice, and I will put together an exit strategy (so that you keep up the good work). I do recommend that you commit to a minimum of 3 months for the best chance of long-term success.

My completely private, fully-equipped gym is in Hartlebury, a short 20 minute drive from the heart of Worcester. I’ll share the exact address once we’ve had our initial consultation. There is parking on my driveway, or plenty of on-street parking close by.

I train clients from my home gym either in person or online. As Hartlebury is very close to Worcester city centre, we can talk about doing the sessions from your home (if that’s more preferable). The workout plans to complete outside of our session can of course be completed in a public gym.

Yes! I love the outdoors. My home gym is outdoors with shelter to keep you dry and shade on the sunny days (although rare in the UK). With a range of outdoor spaces in the area including Worcester Woods, Pitchcroft and Perdiswell, we can definitely explore adding outside workouts to your weekly plan.
