Private female personal trainer in Kidderminster

Personalised training in a comfortable and relaxed environment

I’m Petra Bland, a female personal trainer offering private and group coaching to clients in and around Kidderminster.

I’ll help you to overcome barriers to achieve sustainable weight loss and fitness results. Clients get personalised systems for fat loss, strength building, muscle gain plus overall health and lifestyle improvements.

I focus on long-term maintenance, not just short-term results. I’ll help you to feel better, stronger and fitter without hating the process.

Why choose me as your personal trainer?

Empathetic approach

I’ve been there and understand your barriers. I am a mum in her 40s with 2 energetic dogs. I struggled with energy and tried endless quick-fix diets to make me feel better that never worked. The turning point for me was wanting to actively play with my daughter instead of sitting on the bench watching. Changed my mindset, stopped making excuses and now living as the best version of myself. I now have a healthy relationship with exercise and food, and can help you get there too.

Support and accountability

You may know what to do and why but need support and accountability. You’re not alone. I’ll be there to support you from day one and help you stay on track with the health and fitness goals you’ve set out for yourself.

There for the hard days

I am here to provide reassurance. I’ll be your number one cheerleader on the good days and your support on those hard days. You can do this, all it takes is a friendly reminder and encouragement on those days when you want to quit.

FAQs

Why choose a female personal trainer?

Many women and non-brinary people feel more comfortable discussing body-specific concerns, hormonal changes and personal goals with a trainer who is also female. I understand and relate to the unique challenges that women face, and create a judgement-free, supportive environment where you can train with confidence.

Do you offer home visits to clients in Kidderminster?

Yes, if you feel more comfortable working out in your own home, I am more than happy to accommodate. We’ll discuss home workouts during our initial session.

Do you offer a free trial session?

I offer every new client a free initial consultation to every new client to make sure we’re a right fit for each other.

Do you help beginners?

Yes. If this is the first time you’re having personal training, or getting support with exercise or nutrition, I’ll be with you every step of your journey.

Do you offer specific training support for women going through menopause in Kidderminster?

Yes, I offer specific training plans and support for those who are navigating both perimenopause and menopause. I also have an interactive workshop where I discuss how nutrition, movement, sleep and stress management can help.

What do I need to bring to my first session?

Water! Make sure to bring water to stay hydrated. What else? This depends on whether you’re at home or my private gym. If you’re at home make sure you’re in comfortable clothing that doesn’t restrict movement. I’ll suggest at home equipment or use what you already have. If you’re coming to my private gym, it’s fully equipped. As it’s outside make sure you’re dressed appropriately for the weather but also in clothing that is comfortable and doesn’t restrict movement. Optional but it’s always handy to have a towel to wipe away sweat from all that hard work.

How often should I train?

This all depends on your financial situation and your goals. I have clients who have weekly, biweekly and monthly personal training sessions. I’ll also give you workouts that you can do from home or a gym you already attend.

What does a typical session look like?

All sessions start with a warm up, cool down and stretching. Very important as this helps us ensure that we’re looking after our bodies. The rest of the session depends on your goals. Typically I do rounds of different exercises focused on particular areas of the body, with a mix of cardio and weight bearing.

Most sessions last 1 hour to give us enough time to warm up, cool down, stretch and workout. However, I can be flexible and offer shorter and longer sessions if need be.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, of course. You can cancel at any time. All I need is one month’s notice and I will put together an exit strategy so you can keep up the good work! I do recommend that clients commit to a minimum of 3 months for the best chance of long-term success.

Where is your gym located in Kidderminster?

My private, fully-equipped gym is based in Hartlebury, which is a 15 minute drive from Kidderminster. I’ll share the exact address once we’ve had our free initial consultation. You can park on my driveway or there is plenty of on-street parking close by.

Do you train clients at public gyms in Kidderminster?

I train clients at my home based gym in Hartlebury, which is around 5 miles from Kidderminster. As Kidderminster is under 10km (just over 6 miles) from Hartlebury we can also do sessions from your home, if you prefer. Clients will receive workout plans to complete outside of our sessions, of course you can complete these in a Kidderminster public gym.
