From sluggish and frumpy to strong, fit and healthy

Sue approached in January 2023. She wanted to move away from sliming world and ongoing yo-yo dieting. Her goal was to lower weight into healthy range to put her in the best position as she is heading into her senior years.

Sue wanted to find approach that gives her sustainable results and find a process she enjoys.

Sue, did you have any concerns before you started working with me?

Yes that I will be 60 next year and don’t want to be ‘an old person’ . Do not want to not do things because I’m not fit enough. Want to enjoy life to the fullest

Why did you decide to work with me?

My daughter worked with you and recommended your approach.

What were your 3 biggest wins?

1. Loosing 3 stones, going from BMI of 32 to 23

2. Being able to lift more than my body weight – squats & deadlift

3. Being able to run 5k +

I truly love strength training, I never thought I’d enjoy it

What would you tell someone who is thinking about starting their weight loss journey?

Take the plunge, you won’t regret it !

What was your favourite part of us working together?

Love the lifting, great sense of achievement.

What changed the most?

Everything!! Eating much more healthily although can still indulge in foods and drink I like but in moderation. I mm ensuring I move more everyday and do my workouts 3 times a week. I am looking after myself now.

How would you describe what I do?

Petra’s title is personal trainer but she is far more than that. She helps clients in all areas of their well-being helping to create and maintain healthy habits across nutrition, exercise and mental health.

Sue’s goal was to approach her senior years in a healthy and strong way, lower body fat and include strength training into her routine.

We focused on nutrition habits as well as activity levels habits to create a sustainable routine she can maintain. The key was to make it work and fit into her busy life.

We monitored progress regularly and adapted the plan if we needed to.

She became a better, healthier, fitter and stronger version of herself.
