Moving my body every day, mainly outdoors, and choosing whatever feels best on that particular day. Walking, stretching, playing with my daughter, and even having a disco in the kitchen.
Lifting weights to build a strong body that will carry me well through the years ahead. Currently, I train 2 to 3 times per week, and most of the time I’m done in 35 to 40 minutes.
Doing cardio to look after my heart. And yes, I run, despite some people saying women my age should stop running.
Eating mostly to fuel my body, give me energy, and maintain a healthy body fat range. This also includes chocolate, because life is for living.
Getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep most nights and managing stress. These two are highly underrated and have a massive impact on your mood and the choices you make. I don’t watch the news, and I’m intentional about the content I consume on social media.
Being intentional with my free time and prioritising things that make me feel great: mountain climbing, pumpkin coffees, over-30s discos, rest, and my spiritual practices.
Downtime. This is something I used to struggle with. When you run two businesses and there’s always something to do around the house, doing nothing can feel uncomfortable.
But I’ve learned that rest is productive too.
Sometimes my favourite thing to do is absolutely nothing.
Strong, fit and healthy isn’t just about how you look.
It’s about how you live.
